Mrs. Boater thought of this tonight, and I’m going to put together a patent application soon. Basically, the Obamute is a box that plugs into your TV that automatically mutes any news story with any reference to The Chosen One.

from my life: Tonight, I discovered that “too much ham” is not an impossibility.
But I didn’t go to the Market Hall gun show there this weekend. Market Hall may still be the best gun show in America, but I can just as easily come home and put a $199 price tag on a 200 round sleeve of Q3131 as I can pay $8 + $5 to see it at the Market Hall.
It was also the Cotton Bowl weekend in Big D, but we didn’t do that either (we were just eating + shopping, sometimes both at once). At one of the places we ate, we saw the Ole Miss cheerleaders. I had my camera, but I thought that “Hey, take a picture with me for my blog!” was too creepy, so I abstained. Junior Boater got to ice skate for about 2 hours at the Galleria, and did it well, once again making me wonder if there wasn’t some mix-up at the hospital and they sent home a coordinated child instead of mine…
It was about 80F in Dallas on Saturday, and it was 35F while loading the truck this morning. Yes, we are all sick. But: The cat was VERY happy to see us when we came home. “Hey, it’s He Who Makes The Fire!” We are unwinding now in front of said fire and avoiding the thought of the 6 AM alarm tomorrow morning.
