As a kid, one of the things I looked forward to the most was the receipt of the new Radio Shack catalog, and now look: Here they are! Just as a datapoint, I think that I owned everything on pages 96 and 97 of the 1980 catalog. I remember building forts out of cardboard refrigerator boxes and lining the walls with those cool light-up switches. Too many James Bond movies…
The HVAC people came out today to work on the heaters and neglected to turn one of them back on. When we came home:

Yeow! Kitteh was cold! The cat is basically demanding a fire in the fireplace now.
I’m pleased that we now have the technology for targeted weather alerts, but when the tornado warning box goes off at about 4:30 a.m., well, it makes for a long day at work. zzzzzzzzzzz
(But there was actually a tornado! No damage to the Boathouse, happily.)
please please let the Big O be involved with Blago on the tapes. I have been VERY good this year.
